Deconstructed Assessment: Using Assessment to Foster Social Justice

Picking up from our first two conversations, Beyond Bias: Culturally Responsive and Critical Assessment for Social Justice and Beyond Culturally Responsive Assessment: Socially Just Assessment, this webinar expands on the concept of socially just assessment. We explored how assessment can be used not only to measure social justice on campus but also to foster it. We discussed post-structuralism as a lens for implementing assessment and explored the concept of “deconstructed assessment.” Examples of practice and additional resources were highlighted.
